  • Confers and consults with HISD staff regarding results of evaluations, the referral process, educational implications, and services provided; attends ARD/IEP meetings as appropriate
  • Confers and consults with parents concerning hearing loss, its educational impact, and the services needed by the student
  • Oversees quality management of amplification for classroom and personal student use throughout HISD
  • Performs diagnostic audiological test procedures to evaluate patient's hearing status, auditory pathway function and communicative function and maintains records for all services
  • Interprets and reports test results to facilitate medical diagnosis to provide counseling and education about hearing loss, hearing aids and communication to patient and their families
