  • Provides educational resources to physicians, house staff, medical students, patients and visitors regarding nature of, and applications for, non-invasive diagnostic testing
  • Assists with the accreditation/reaccreditation process and assists in maintaining the accreditation status as required by IAC (Intersocietal Accreditation Commission for Vascular Testing)
  • Attends workshops, seminars and/or conferences to keep abreast of standards and best practices within the field. Disseminates information to colleagues and/or staff as appropriate
  • Reviews and verifies patient identity, history and requisition for exam to be performed
  • Reviews pathology, surgical and angiography reports to follow patients progress and to provide a means of reviewing the accuracy of the vascular lab examinations
  • Completes all finishing work to include proper film ID, requisitions, patient chart documentation and all forms required for the specific exam. Protects patients privacy and modesty by making sure all history obtained is confidential and patient is covered at all times
  • Perform patient evaluations including verifying patient identity using two patient identifiers, reviewing the medical record for orders and prior studies, and addressing patient questions and concerns
