  • Knowledge of scientific principles and concepts essential
  • Collect data, provide information and reports as needed to support the Client’s compliance programs
  • Monitors new and revised legislation and ensures Dortec’s compliance to legislated requirements
  • Develops and provides leadership to, the ongoing maintenance, continuous improvement auditing and compliance to the ISO14001 standard and Dortec’s Environmental Management System (EMS)
  • Provides leadership to the Joint Health and Safety Committee, (e.g. hazard identification and accident prevention) and coordinates follow-up actions on the committee’s recommendations
  • Participate in EHS compliance and management system inspections
  • Supports the Plant Manager in the development of EHS policies, standards and procedures based on regulatory and internal requirements
  • Prepare government reports and permits/certifications
  • Participate or lead EHS projects to support energy conservation, best practices, continuous improvement
